HPE Alletra Storage

HPE Alletra Storage MP is a modular, disaggregated storage platform designed to eliminate silos and provide a consistent cloud-managed experience through the HPE GreenLake platform. By separating storage data services from the underlying hardware, it allows organizations to scale performance and capacity independently.

The two primary editions are :

1. HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 (Block & File)

The B10000, themission-critical workhorse of the Alletra family, designed for high-availability block and file workloads.

2. HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 (Object & File)

The X10000 is a software-defined system optimized for high-performance, unstructured data at massive scale.

Best For: AI/ML training pipelines, massive data lakes, modern data protection (backup/recovery), and high-throughput research workloads.

Key Feature: Includes an integrated "Data Intelligence Node" that extracts metadata and vector embeddings inline, significantly accelerating AI workloads like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

Performance: Built for exabyte-scale capacity with native S3/NFS support and optimization for NVMe and GPU Direct Storage (GDS).
