We are using IBM Bob to automate the entire SDLC process by leveraging its AI and agentic capabilities. It has helped us in revamping the legacy codes that were written in COBOL. With IBM Bob, we are developing and testing the code along with the documentation of each stage. This has helped us save a lot of time and resources.

IBM Bob is best suited to work with legacy code as its difficult to find and train the resources for those legacy systems. Its works very well in handling full SLDC with documentation.
Having said that, since it's still in the starting phase, some hallucination is observed and its still needs some human intervention during software development life cycles which will be improved over the time ofcourse.

Our IT team and consultants use IBM Bob to evaluate legacy code bases and help us update and generate code as we modernize Cognos and other legacy tools to current UI and cloud DB systems. We use it's agentic workflows and LLM prompts to help evaluate and generate code as we complete modernization IT projects for clients.

I think IBM Bob is great for code generation and conversion. I also find it's agentic workflow setup to be easy and flexible. I think it may be less appropriate for true LLM AI type of use to do less structured analysis. We find it's best when used for very specific use cases.

as on a trial test basis i found that IBM Bob could be potentially efficinet in order to streamline internal processes and software operations / development for the organisation. Although whilst being an AI - native product it may suit better larger organisations with more complex processes, whether it is payroll, HRIS, project management and/or complex processes that require process maps, massive data storage, etc.

the best well suited scenarious would be definitely complex data management and documentation where AI assistance is necessary, for instance for creating specialized "personas" for specific tasks, such as a "docs architect" or similar tools development., coding for documentation and / or steps; analytical features. Also Bob is positioned as a highly secured AI tool, which is necessary in a real time
