According to the vendor, IDvisitor supports proximity cards, which are contactless smart cards commonly used for access control, network log-on security, cashless vending, time and attendance, and biometric identification.

IDvisitor supports iCLASS smart card technology, as claimed by the vendor. This technology ensures high security through mutual authentication, encrypted data transfer, and 64-bit diversified keys.
