Business Problems Solved

iGradePlus is an excellent online gradebook for teachers, administrators, and students. One of the key use cases of this product is its flexible score input system that allows teachers to enter grades in various formats. Users have found iGradePlus to be an affordable option when compared to other online portals and vendors. The product offers most of the features needed by teachers in an easy-to-use interface that has taken little time to adapt to users' needs.

Grading with iGradePlus

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use iGradePlus as my grade book for my classes. I have 74 students spread out over grades 4-6 and it would be a monumental task for me to keep their grades manually or on excel.

iGradePlus makes grade entry easy and reliable. It is greatly useful when students need to be excused from an assignment because they were absent for the test or in class activity. The program also makes it easy to report the grades I have recorded when they need to be turned in at the end of a term.

It has been easy for me to access and use. I have two ESL assistants, and they have been able to use it as well.

When I had trouble using it on my tablet, the company responded to my help request quickly and with a good solution.

They have not charged me anything for using it, and have not put ads in front of me trying to make me buy something or make it more difficult to use.

Pros

  • The best part was being able to excuse students from an assignment
  • It lets you look for assignments by category, so there are less to look through.
  • The way to print out a grade report works well.
  • There are good instructions for the way to use the program.

Cons

  • The student list includes all the students and there doesn't seem to be a way to keep a search to just one class of students.
  • Maybe there should be a warning when you first enter grades on an assignment, when you try to do something else, that you haven't saved that assignment yet and it will be lost if you do that other thing.

Likelihood to Recommend

The program works very well for me, even though I am the only one in my school to use it. My colleagues are Thai, and they would have a difficult time working with this English program. Also, there is quite a bit of the program that deals with parental contact and other items used more in a United States school system that wouldn't work here very well.

Awesome product!!!

We use iGradePlus for our gradebook in our small Christian school. It is very easy to navigate. We have used it for several years and really enjoy using it.

Great Value for Tight Budgets

  • The transcript templates need to be improved.
  • I would love to see them add services for canteen management (point of sale).
  • I would love to see them add services for library management (circulation).

Likelihood to Recommend

iGradePlus works well for schools who are on a tight budget. The pricing is quite fair. We are still a newer school--this is our fourth academic year of operation. iGradePlus has served as our sole school management system from the very beginning. We are very thankful to be growing alongside iGradePlus.

Easy to use and setup

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am a missionary that teaches English at a local public school in a village. This year I have decided to transition from paper grades to a digital grade tracker. iGradePlus is working great for me and it saves me a lot of time trying to calculate students' grades. It also lets me add notes for the parents and students to see. I love its ease of use and for the most part, it is very intuitive. God Bless.

  • Reporting - I need a report that shows scores for all assignments for all students to turn into the local school administrator.

Likelihood to Recommend

Ease of use. Coming from a paper grading system to a digital one, I needed one that was not cumbersome and was easy to figure out. If iGradePlus had not been so intuitive, I probably would have stuck with a paper grading method.

iGrade Plus - Excellent Choice!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My experience with iGrade Plus has been TERRIFIC!! It's a platform user friendly, it's easy to assign classwork, tests, behavior, class materials, etc. As a teacher, I can create lesson plans, give follow ups, post or schedule assignments, grade super fast, look up for a specific student profile and have all their demographics and overall performance in one screen. Teachers also have an statistics or KPIs of the groups they give classes to. Students have a "student access" as well, which allows them to track their grades, dates and time they turn in their work, and they can even upload all of the assignments on the platform. Parents also have their access to track everything as well.

Pros

  • Handy and useful student data.
  • Easy to post assignments.
  • Easy to grade assignments, check assignments and correct grades if needed.

Cons

  • I would like the attendance record to be easier to read.

Best free LMS/SMS app!

We use iGradePlus for recording attendance, logging daily lessons, parent monitoring and communication, keeping student and guardian information, lesson planning and school calendar monitoring. The free version of iGradePlus has these functionalities that other LMS sites offer only in paid versions so iGradePlus definitely helped us in reducing the cost used for an LMS.

  • Client support is very responsive.
  • It's set up guide is thorough.
  • The homepage with the news feed is clean and easy on the eyes.

Cons

  • Setting up takes time to do.
  • It lacks basic integrations with some web apps such as Seesaw and Google.
  • The lesson planning functionality needs to be made easier to use.

Likelihood to Recommend

We use the free version of iGradePlus and it's already fully functional. Maybe we are just missing the enrollment and other functions in the enterprise version but the free version already gives all that we need: attendance, student information keeping, communication, lesson logging. Maybe iGradePlus is not the app to use for integrations with other apps.
