IES helps us streamline accounting, project financial management and job costing, intercompany transactions, and consolidated entity reporting. IES helps us reduce manual processes and repeated data entry. IES supports our construction operations with job costing and monthly closes, which enables us to have more accurate financial reporting and better visibility across our projects, which helps us manage our projects more effectively.

  • Reclassifying transactions.
  • Consolidated reporting.
  • Custom management reports.
  • Granular permission-based roles.
  • Scheduled reporting.

Cons

  • Slow processing.
  • Bill pay features are not as robust as competitors.
  • Some workflows are not customizable when they should be, such as intercompany invoicing and paying bills.
  • The AI model(s) they use to read bills are not very good at it.
  • Construction project reporting is not as good as it was in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.

IES is incredible highly recommend

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES) as our main accounting software. We integrate it with our scheduling software, Skimmer to help us streamline our operation. We were on Quickbooks Desktop for about 25 years and finally had to make the switch so we could have integrated software. We have been loving it so far!

Pros

  • Project Management
  • Reporting
  • Dimensions

Cons

  • I haven't spent enough time in the software to speak on this. We are still in the process of fully switching over.

Great Product Super Scalable Well Supported

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We switched from QBO Advanced to Intuit Enterprise Suite for the intercompany, consolidation, and general ease of managing multiple entities. We utilize most of Intuit's product suite, including all of accounting, AR, AP, Payroll, and Merchant Processing.

Pros

  • Consolidated reporting across multiple entities
  • Shared chart of accounts for accounting consistency
  • Ease of switching between account files
  • The extra dedicated account-level support has been amazing
  • Faster/easier access to customer support is great

Cons

  • A few little things around making chart of account synchronization easier
  • Still a little work to be done to make splitting bills between entities a little faster
  • Authentication/security process when utilizing support is a bit too laborious, esp given that I'm the one initiating the inquiry from inside my system!

Return on Investment

  • Overall our experience has been great - easy and smooth onboarding process
  • Better support experience has surprised and delighted the team in ways I wasn't really expecting
  • I like it more than I expected I would - the convenience of having it all in one place and being able to toggle through entities is really a major improvement
