What is LightMesh IPAM?

Tidal LightMesh is an IP address management platform that helps infrastructure teams replace fragmented IP records with a visual, automated source of truth for subnets, DHCP activity, cloud resources, and network assignments. The platform supports visual subnet planning, automated discovery, AWS and Azure integrations, role-based access control, audit history, rollback, and Microsoft DHCP visibility across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.

IP Planning and Visualization

LightMesh helps teams manage subnet records that may otherwise be spread across spreadsheets, legacy IPAM tools, cloud consoles, and local infrastructure systems. Graphical subnet visualizations, including TreeView navigation, provide high-level network views and the ability to drill down into individual IP addresses, assignments, and connected devices. This helps teams identify available space, reduce duplicate records, plan subnet allocation, and maintain visibility as infrastructure changes.

Audit History and Rollback

LightMesh provides audit history to help users review configuration activity, including API operations and create, update, and delete events on IPAM records. Users can review subnet-level activity and user history to understand what changed, when it changed, and which user or API key performed the action. This supports troubleshooting, compliance workflows, and change accountability across IT, cloud, and network operations.

Network Discovery

LightMesh supports automated network discovery through web-based discovery, command-line discovery, Nmap integration, and bulk imports. Teams can identify IP usage across cloud, hybrid, segmented, or restricted environments. Existing IP data can also be imported from spreadsheets or legacy systems using custom field mapping, helping organizations move from fragmented records toward a more complete IPAM source of truth.

DHCP Integration

LightMesh supports Microsoft DHCP synchronization through the Windows Discovery Agent. The integration brings DHCP scopes, leases, reservations, MAC addresses, hostnames, lease timestamps, and DHCP server metadata into IPAM. This gives teams visibility into active and historical address activity, including which device used a specific IP address and when. DHCP lease visibility can support troubleshooting, audits, incident investigation, and capacity planning by keeping DHCP activity aligned with IP inventory.

Cloud and Hybrid Network Management

LightMesh integrates with AWS and Azure to help teams manage IP data across cloud and on-prem environments. Cloud discovery helps identify resources, address usage, and potential conflicts across accounts or subscriptions. For hybrid environments, LightMesh provides a shared view of cloud networks, local subnets, DHCP activity, and imported records so IPAM is not limited to one infrastructure source.

Permissions and Multi-Group Access

LightMesh includes fine-grained role-based access control so users only access the data relevant to their responsibilities. Network engineers, cloud teams, security users, finance stakeholders, and requestors can work in the same platform while maintaining appropriate data boundaries. For managed service providers and enterprise IT teams, multi-group security permissions allow users to be assigned to specific organizations, customers, sites, or business units.

Automation, Differentiators, and ROI

LightMesh includes API integrations, command-line tools, bulk actions, custom fields, global search, capacity alerts, audit history, rollback, cloud discovery, and DHCP visibility. These capabilities help teams reduce manual reconciliation, improve IP data quality, and respond faster to operational questions. Reported LightMesh customer outcomes include up to 85% fewer IP conflicts, a 70% reduction in time spent on manual IPAM tasks, and a 65% increase in network visibility.
