What is LocalReviewDesk?
LocalReviewDesk is review management software for local businesses. It turns branded QR posters and NFC cards into a simple system for collecting Google reviews and private customer feedback without review gating.
The product is designed for single-location and small multi-location businesses, including cafés, restaurants, salons, dental and allied-health clinics, automotive businesses and trades, rather than large enterprise marketing teams.
How It Works
Each location receives a branded review page that customers can access by scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC card. Every customer sees two equally visible options:- Leave a public Google review
- Send private feedback directly to the business
The customer decides which option to use. LocalReviewDesk does not assess customer sentiment, selectively display the Google review link or prevent dissatisfied customers from leaving public reviews.

Compliance
Review gating involves screening customers by sentiment and directing only satisfied customers to leave public reviews. Google identifies this practice as prohibited, while the ACCC has warned that filtering or suppressing genuine negative reviews may mislead consumers. LocalReviewDesk is structured so that both the Google review option and the private feedback option are shown to every customer. This is a fixed product constraint rather than a setting businesses can disable.
Pricing
LocalReviewDesk costs USD $49 per month for the first review page and USD $20 per additional page, with support for up to 12 pages. Annual plans are billed at the equivalent of ten months. Two NFC cards are included with each page, and additional cards are available for purchase.
