What is Logitech MeetUp?

Logitech offers MeetUp, a video conference camera system for smaller huddle rooms.

Logitech Meetup - impressive performance for the price

Pros

  • Microphone pick-up. Sounds as good as a microphone on the table
  • Camera quality is fantastic and the software does a great job of correcting for the fisheye effect
  • Connectivity is easy and fast

Cons

  • Speakers are good for general speech, but lacking for anything with bass

  • Ease of use
  • Compatibility with most major conferencing platforms
  • Overall quality of the camera and integrated microphone

Return on Investment

  • With this system the cost of replacement is much lower compared to the Cisco systems
  • Ease of deployment allows my team to get them set up quicker and get back to their regular work
  • The good integrated microphone means we don't have to run one to the table and it's one less thing to break

  • Adjustable camera: Can point straight to the talker.
  • Effective mic array: Can pick up voices really well.
  • Compact and convenience package including speaker, mic and camera.

Cons

  • Difficult finding the appropriate software for additional features on the Logitech website.
  • Video quality not great for participants sitting more than a couple of metres away.

  • Compact package.
  • Wide angle camera.
  • Sensitive mic array.

Pros

  • One location for all meeting participants to congregate.
  • Ability to share content from one computer located in the room with the MeetUp.
  • Camera, microphone and speakers are all-in-one and the camera will pan and tilt and can follow motion and sound.

Cons

  • Pricing is a bit high
  • Setup could be a bit easier but that is more an issue with Microsoft than Logitech
  • Would be nice if Logitech added a keyboard and mouse when selling the bundle

  • Working with Teams.
  • Being able to get multiple people in one room to join a meeting together on one computer.
  • Sharing content from a centralized computer.

Return on Investment

  • Reduced internet bandwidth across a single site since everyone is joining the meeting from one device.
  • Reduced travel time allowing others to join the meeting instead of driving to it.
  • Increased efficiency allowing everyone in the meeting to share a file and interact with it.
