Welcome to medical care associates a three physician medical practice. In this example you’ll see how Lytec fully integrate the practices business and clinical operations to optimize productivity, decrease costs, improve financial performance and enhance patient care. 
Cynthia Bain is an established patient at medical care associates before she can begin her new job, she needs a physical exam. Cynthia contact medical care associates to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. 

Cynthia has specifically to see Doctor Roberts using the Lytec appointment scheduler, the coordinator can view appointments in a number of ways including by day, week or month, single or multiple physicians, multiple resources and by groups of providers the coordinator selects doctor Roberts and sends the request is urgent she can quickly search for his next available appointment before. 
Cynthia arrives for her appointment, the coordinator uses the revenue management feature to verify Cynthia‘s insurance benefits through the Lytec connect electronic eligibility service powered by relay health. As a result, a medical care associate is well prepared when Cynthia arrives for her appointment. 

Check-in goes quickly. While Cynthia’s is checking in, the practice management system alerts the coordinator of Cynthia’s co-payment and balances. The coordinator may then collect co-paying and balances due and input the information directly from the appointment scheduler screen giving the practice the option to collect payment to check-in rather than at the end of the appointment. Cynthia is now ready to be seen by the nurse with minimal clicks from the front desk coordinator, the nurse can see from the electronic health record schedule that the patient is ready for her exam. Whether you’re in the front or back office any changes or additions you make to the patient data and the practice management system will update the patient’s electronic health record.

This is a quick demo showing just a few of the new features found on a Lytec mobile app found only in Lytec 2015. These apps have some really cool things that are going to help you on a lot of stuff. First, the patients can enter their own information, which is going to make the information more accurate. Les errors mean less rejections. Second, you’re front desk staff. You’re not going to be dealing with tons of paper anymore and wasting so much time entering in the patient information from off those clip boards because the patients are entering them themselves. And third, providers are going to be submitted electronically, which will go straight into Lytec, and that means there’s less manual labor for billers, and claims are going to go out a lot quicker. So let’s take a look at the mobile app, and you can see how it works. This is just a basic schedule over here on the left you can see kind of just a mini schedule. Umm…shows us the date. Here you can click the providers. Click multiple providers and see all their schedules or just select one provider and view their schedules. If you want to see a week view for that provider, you can click over here on that calendar and it will show you a week view. If you have a patient coming in here’s what you’re going to do, select their name from off the schedule and hit patient intake. If there is an existing patient of yours, all their info are going to be on Lytec. So it’s going to pull right here. It’s going to say, “Hey, welcome back to our clinic, just want to make sure everything is correct, and it’s going to take them through all their needed information. If you need to edit something like their address, what you’re going to do is you’re going to click on it, type in their new address, and hit done. It will take them through all their basic questions, and again most of their information are in there. And again, so it’s just having them verify. Click here “I’m finished,” and it’s going to lock them out of the screens. 

You don’t want them browsing in or whatever. They’re going to hand it back to the staff. And the staff staying is going to enter their username and password and hit ok. And then they’re going to have full access. If you have a patient that’s coming in and they are a first-time patient of yours, then you’re going to have to click up here and hit intake. It’s going to be the exact same questions, but here it’s going to take them step by step to make sure that they fill it out and of course, Some steps are going to be required. This is going to be all the same questions that you would normally have on a quickboard and with all those sheets of paper. But now instead of handing them a quickboard, you’re just handing them IPad. And they’re going to be able to fill out everything at once. And it’s automatically going to get put into Lytec. So it’s going to get them through a  basic information. Once they fill out the contact, that will take them to employment. To pay their responsibility, emergency contact, the entrance. 

Do you have a health insurance? Yes, I do. Who’s my provider? There they are, then you drop here information. They’re going to throw out everything step-by-step to make sure that everything is in there. They’re going to input their medical history, and put what they’re dealing with. If you guys have forms, which most everybody does, you can enter those forms electronically, and they can click on them right here, and review all of your forms, sign it, and that’s going to be in there. They do not have to deal with any paper anymore. Again, at the end, they’re going to see “I am finished,” and they’re going to hand the IPad back over to your front desk. Front desk is going to love it, but don’t worry, there’s more for your billers and your doctors. Let’s say your doctors are making rounds of the hospital, and he quickly needs to add a patient. He’s going to click up here, and he’s going to enter a few little things. Just basic information. He’s going to hit done. The system will actually flag him that there’s a duplicate. And that there’s already somebody with that name and birthday.
