What is MathCast?
MathCast is a free and open source equation editor, an application that allows users to input mathematical equations. These equations can be used in documents, emails, and webpages. The equations can be rendered graphically to the screen, to picture files, or to MathML.
MathCast’s graphical interface is suited for rapid development of mathematical equations. A part of this interface is called The Rapid Mathline. The Rapid Mathline supports an extensive set of mathematical operators, symbols, and functions.
MathCast is also an Equation List Manager, and is capable of organizing dozens of equations in a single list. This enables the abilities to manage, modify, view, edit, and reedit all the mathematics of a project (be it a document, a webpage, or so on) all at the same session.
