Key Features
Browse resources: According to the vendor, MedVertical Records allows users to browse through medical records on a FHIR® server using a report-like listing overview. Users can view individual resources, considering profiles and references.
Real-time browsing: MedVertical Records provides real-time browsing of resources on a FHIR® server. The software comes with pre-configured profiles that can be adjusted to meet project needs. Selected resources appear in the main menu and are listed in a customizable list view. Each resource has a dynamic name based on its data items and attributes that can be adjusted.
Customizable columns & reports: Users can tailor the columns of the list view per entity into custom reports. They can select from available columns or add custom columns. The software allows the merging of different keys in one cell and the calculation of different data paths using FHIRPath expressions. Users can specify how the values are rendered.
View & edit resources with auto-generated forms: Individual resources are rendered with their profile in a clean, readable form. Hierarchies are collapsed by default and displayed as an editable summary. Experts can expand the form for editing. Instant validation provides visibility into validity and its connection to context for immediate correction.
Editing for domain experts: MedVertical Records provides a form suited for reading and editing FHIR® resources for domain experts with basic FHIR® knowledge.
Filtering the list view: Users can search for resources using the fundamental mechanics of FHIR®. They can utilize search parameters of the FHIR® search framework for simple or advanced queries. Filter combinations can be saved into dynamic collections for future use.
Edit existing & create new resources: Users can edit existing resources by directly editing the values of required keys. They can also add new keys at any level and edit their values. The software presents different data types with appropriate input types to encourage precision and decrease input errors.
Select from value sets and catalogues: When a data item is restricted by a value set, MedVertical Records provides available options for selection. The software offers fast, incremental search and context-specific result ordering using Ontoserver, which includes SNOMED CT, AMT, LOINC, and FHIR®-based CodeSystems.
Instant & server-side validation: MedVertical Records validates resources against FHIR® profiles defined for the project. It ensures profile conformity regarding structure, cardinality, value domains, etc. Local validation occurs in real-time, and invalid fields are highlighted with comprehensible error messages.
Auto-fixing of errors: The software automatically recognizes mismatches between the FHIR® profile and the given resource. It proposes automatic fixing of errors with one click.
