MessageWhiz is a cloud communications platform from MMDsmart for sending transactional, authentication, marketing, and customer-service messages. It supports SMS, Rich Communication Services (RCS), WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, email, and voice through a web interface and application programming interfaces (APIs).

Organizations can use MessageWhiz to send individual messages or scheduled broadcasts, conduct two-way customer conversations, verify users with one-time passwords (OTPs), and automate communications based on customer actions, transactions, or system events.

Key Capabilities

Multichannel messaging: Sends messages through SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, email, and voice. Channel-specific options include branded senders, rich media, documents, links, buttons, and conversational messaging where supported.
Broadcast and transactional messaging: Supports individual messages and bulk campaigns. The SMS API accepts broadcasts containing as many as 100,000 messages and supports scheduling, recipient-specific metadata, reusable content placeholders, and client reference identifiers.
Two-way customer conversations: Collects inbound messages from supported channels through webhooks and a shared agent inbox. Conversations can be assigned to agents or transferred between automated chatbots and human representatives.
OTP delivery and verification: Generates or accepts caller-provided verification codes, sends them through supported messaging channels, and provides endpoints for checking delivery status and validating submitted codes.
Campaign automation: Triggers messages from customer behavior, transaction events, or updates in connected business systems. APIs and webhooks allow applications to initiate communications and process replies or delivery events.
Personalization and content assistance: Inserts recipient-specific data into message and email templates. The platform also provides AI-assisted text optimization for producing and comparing message variants.
Delivery and campaign reporting: Tracks message status, delivery outcomes, clicks, costs, failures, and undelivered or expired messages. Broadcast reports aggregate these metrics, while message logs support detailed status review.
Team administration: Uses API-key authentication and allows separate API keys to be generated for individual teams.

Audience and Use Cases

MessageWhiz is designed for developers, marketing teams, customer-service operations, and identity or security teams that need to communicate with customers across several external channels. Common uses include:

Sending login and transaction verification codes
Delivering account alerts, reminders, and service notifications
Communicating order, payment, and delivery updates
Running promotional and customer-retention campaigns
Managing inbound SMS and messaging-app conversations
Moving chatbot conversations to human agents
Personalizing bulk messages from customer or transaction data
Adding messaging functions to websites, mobile applications, and internal systems

Technical Specifications

MessageWhiz exposes a REST API documented through an OpenAPI interface. Requests use API-key authentication, while supported operations include individual sends, scheduled broadcasts, delivery-status queries, message-log retrieval, OTP verification, customer records, and two-way messaging.

Applications can supply callback URLs for delivery events and webhooks for inbound messages. Delivery callbacks use an at-least-once strategy, so integrations should use the unique message identifier to detect duplicate events. The service retries a callback as many as three times when the receiving endpoint does not respond within three seconds. Phone numbers are submitted in international E.164 format.
