What is Mezmo?

Mezmo (formerly LogDNA) is an Observability and Log Management platform engineered to ingest, process, transform, and analyze operational telemetry at scale. The platform combines in-stream telemetry pipelines with centralized log analytics and AURA, an open-source Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) agent harness, enabling organizations to control data volumes, correlate multi-source signals, and automate production incident investigations.

Key Capabilities
  • In-Stream Telemetry Pipelines: Processes telemetry in motion between collection agents and downstream destinations. The pipeline engine performs live data profiling, filtering, dynamic sampling, deduplication, field extraction, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) redaction, and schema transformations, including bidirectional conversions to OpenTelemetry (OTel) formats.
  • Dynamic Telemetry Routing: Routes transformed telemetry across multiple storage tiers, analysis tools, and cold archives. High-signal alerts and events can be routed to messaging platforms like Slack, operational metrics to monitoring platforms like Datadog, and raw compliance logs to object storage such as Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).
  • Centralized Log Analysis: Ingests high-throughput structured and unstructured application logs for search, live-tail streaming, conditional alerting, and metric extraction. The interface enables operators to execute multi-parameter queries and build operational dashboards across distributed microservice architectures.
  • Autonomous SRE Agent Harness (AURA): Operates an open-source multi-agent orchestration framework that connects foundation models to production telemetry systems. A coordinator agent evaluates alerts or incident descriptions and delegates sub-tasks to parallel worker agents (such as incident-responder, log-analyst, and metrics-analyst) to investigate root causes, check runbooks, and analyze infrastructure states.
  • Execution Safeguards & Governance: Enforces context scoping to prevent model context-window bloat, provides human-in-the-loop approval gates before agents execute state-changing actions, and records audit logs by emitting OpenTelemetry spans governed by OpenInference semantic conventions.

Audience & Use Cases
  • Audience: Site reliability engineers, DevOps professionals, infrastructure architects, and security operations (SecOps) analysts managing complex cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Use Case: Reducing log ingest volumes and monitoring costs across enterprise Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) destinations, centralizing log analytics for Kubernetes clusters, automating root cause analysis (RCA) during active production incidents, and auditing configuration drift across infrastructure repositories.

Technical Specifications
  • Deployment Models: Multi-tenant and dedicated cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) platform with lightweight collector agents and local or containerized AURA daemon runtimes.
  • Agent Architecture: AURA is written in Rust, released under the Apache 2.0 open-source license, and designed to run natively within customer infrastructure without routing sensitive operational tokens through external third-party hosts.
  • Supported Integrations & Protocols: Native support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), OpenTelemetry (OTel), Prometheus, Kubernetes, Fluentd, Logstash, Vector, Syslog, AWS CloudTrail, Datadog, PagerDuty, and GitHub.
  • Reported Vendor Metrics: According to vendor documentation, teams deploying the telemetry pipeline report up to a 50% reduction in aggregate telemetry volume and up to 3x improvements in downstream query performance.
