The Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit was used for experimentation in deep learning, to understand how it was used versus against other deep learning toolkits. The Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit was used by the research lab, specifically for RNN and LSTM when developing a chatbot that was meant to understand colloquial input by users. This was applied so as to help with training the chatbot in its ability to chunk and understand queries.
  • Clear documentation
  • Good support from Microsoft team
  • Directed graph visualization
  • Needs better community support
  • Would be good to have CNTK on-prem
  • Provide more extensibility and customizability
Excellent if you have an Azure-based shop. Links well with existing Azure apps. Being able to train my models in Python and use them from C# and Java provides the best of all worlds, allowing scientists, engineers and business people to work together.
Microsoft team were helpful. However, more community support and user base would help much more
