What is Minitab?

Minitab Statistical Software can look at current and past data to discover trends, find and predict patterns, uncover hidden relationships between variables, and create visualizations. Key statistical tests available in Minitab include t tests, one and two proportions, normality test, chi-square, and equivalence tests. And its interactive tool with a gallery lets users view and explore multiple graph options without re-running analysis. Using the same selection of data each time, Graph Builder updates from bar charts to correlograms to heat maps.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been using Minitab Statistical Software since the late 1980s first on the mainframe, and later on the PC. It has come a very long way. I have used it to teach an undergraduate engineering statistics course, graduate environmental statistics and graduate time series courses. I have also used it to write a book on using Minitab Statistical Software for solving probability problems using simulations. Lately I have used it as one of the backup software for DOE. Outside the classroom room I have used Minitab Statistical Software for analysis of data from the environmental and mining industries. The software is very intuitive and works like a spreadsheet in a way. The learning curve is not steep at all and resources are everywhere to help the user. I highly recommend Minitab Statistical Software for statistical analysis. It is getting better and better with each new update.
