Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company produces hundreds of videos a year, and each one starts with a storyboard. As such, Plot Storyboard Creator was a tool that helped us streamline that process immensely vs. our old system of creating them within Word documents. The ability to easily add images and dynamic text boxes was truly a game changer. It's kind of a one-trick pony in the sense that it really ONLY does storyboards, but it does them so incredibly well that we don't mind.

My partner and I decided to start a social media channel last year. It did not take us long to discover how hard it can be to create good video content without the right skills. Our solution was to find affordable products for our video projects: from scriptwriting to production of the final video copy. After testing several other software, we found the Plot Storyboard and which is the game changer. It is an incredibly useful tool that can help anyone create storyboards with very little skills and experience. Before then we could not start and finish a project to use because something always went wrong. This roadblock is now gone, and we are about to launch our channel. Thanks to the creators of this amazing software.

Pros

  • It is user friendly and intuitive
  • There's a free plan to learn about the tools, test out your skills and decide if it's right for you.
  • There's opportunity to collaborate with team members. This is very helpful since we sometimes use freelancers

Cons

  • I think the studio layout can be improved. It took a while to figure out the features
  • The solo plan does not allow collaboration, but I think there the option to add one more person. This means users working with freelancers will have to share login details with strangers.
  • Updating the images is always useful and a plus

  • The drawing tool is great
  • It possible to develop your story script right from your studio
