What is OVHcloud Public Cloud?

OVHcloud Public Cloud offers users a large number of cloud solutions that are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. OVH states their infrastructure is set up in a simple way to enable businesses to harness the flexibility of on-demand resources to scale up from small projects to large-scale deployments.

Users of the IaaS can detach applications from the underlying infrastructure with the service's managed Kubernetes cluster and container management solutions. This gives IT teams the ability to easily migrate, adapt, and scale single and multi-cloud infrastructure.

To make data collection easier, the service includes Managed Databases and Data Analytics to automate processing and leverage AI models that add value to applications without infrastructure concerns. With the full Platform as a Service (PaaS), users can simply focus on core business.

OVH presents the benefits of its service as:

Flexibility and Scalability - Automates infrastructure with managed container and orchestration services. Resources can be directly added or removed via the OVHcloud Control Panel or the API.

All OVHcloud Public Cloud solutions are billed based on actual usage, or pay for use. Users launch the resources needed, when they are needed, and at the end of the month, OVHcloud will calculate the final bill based on the resources used over that period and deliver it as a single invoice. On-demand resources are non-binding. Users can delete a resource at any time, after which they will not be billed for them. To simplify operations, solutions can be compartmentalized by project, with one invoice per project. This is sent at the beginning of each month, based on the previous month’s usage.
