OVHcloud SecNumCloud is a portfolio of Sovereign Cloud services for hosting sensitive applications and data within qualified infrastructure and operating environments. It includes dedicated Bare Metal Pod infrastructure, hosted private cloud, and SNC Cloud Platform, giving organizations different levels of hardware control and managed-service functionality.

Key Capabilities

Dedicated infrastructure: Bare Metal Pod provides a dedicated hardware and software environment for organizations requiring infrastructure isolation and control over their software stack.
Hosted virtualization: The VMware offering supplies Managed Private Cloud capabilities for running virtual machines in an OVHcloud-managed environment. Customers administer workloads through vSphere and associated APIs.
Cloud infrastructure services: SNC Cloud Platform provides Infrastructure-as-a-Service and managed services through a public-cloud-style operating model, with open APIs and usage-based billing.
Restricted administration: The documented VMware configuration restricts management interfaces by default, requires authorized IP addresses and multifactor authentication, and uses token validation for sensitive infrastructure operations.
Private connectivity and encryption: VMware deployments support IPsec VPN access and a private gateway for vCenter and vSphere APIs. Virtual-machine encryption requires configuration of a compatible key-management system.

Audience & Use Cases

Audience: Public-sector IT teams, regulated enterprises, infrastructure administrators, and software providers serving organizations with sensitive-data requirements.
Use cases: Migrating enterprise virtual machines, hosting sensitive business applications, deploying dedicated infrastructure, and adopting cloud services within a qualified operational boundary.

Technical Specifications

Deployment models: Dedicated bare metal, managed hosted private cloud, and SNC Cloud Platform.
Management interfaces: VMware tools and APIs for the private-cloud offering; open APIs for SNC Cloud Platform.
Qualification scope: SecNumCloud qualification applies to specified services and environments. Customers retain responsibility for workload configuration and their part of the security model.
