Use Cases and Deployment Scope
PaperWeight was a great solution for us when looking for freelance writers to meet the needs of our nonprofit organization. In the age of digital work and limited budgets, it is an excellent way to connect with a talented writer to fulfill any request we had! We used this in our marketing department and allows for the production of professional content without hiring another employee.
Pros and Cons
  • The user interface is attractive and easy to navigate. The menus for creating pages and subpages is simple and easy to customize!
  • It is excellent at recruiting talented writers! It is an up and coming resource for free lancers.
Likelihood to Recommend
PaperWeight is well-suited for people who are experienced and not very experienced because it's easy to design and usability. If you want to limit users' access to certain things, you can also do that! This helps prevent any unwanted changes or edits. I can't think of a scenario where this isn't a good option other than it is a bit less known than alternatives.

We are using PaperWeight to manage freelance reviewers of content authored by our instructors and confirm the semantics of the language in which the courses are authored in like English, French, Spanish. So PaperWeight acts as a job portal and a medium for verification of user identities, safe and secure checkout of documents, and prevention of unauthorized downloads from our portal. Only a small team in our department is using PaperWeight so at this moment we are not uploading sensitive or too much exclusive data on our PaperWeight portal.
Pros and Cons
  • PaperWeight has amazing features for freelance reviewers who can provide insights on how a course can be structured using interactive content.
  • PaperWeight is scalable, responsive, secure.
  • Freelance reviewers find easy to use PaperWeight.
  • We could also rate and provide feedback on the work delivered by freelancers which is visible to a group of users who can allocate future work based on the profile feedback.
Likelihood to Recommend
Very easy to use and customize homepage, dashboard, and multiple landing pages of courses. Easy for setting up intuitive dashboards, rating users, and receiving ratings. Create and edit content or upload documents and make edits. Easy to segregate functions based on user roles. Multi-device support is not so seamless though overall it is responsive and scalable on the web.

Alternatives Considered
We like the light-weightedness of PaperWeight, scalability, and its ability to meet our needs at a reasonable cost. Pre-existing relationships and business process outcomes helped in making the decision to go with PaperWeight. The product roadmap being aligned with our own roadmap also was a huge factor in the decision-making in favor of PaperWeight.
