We were exploring creating one IoT product based on the Particle Photon Module. This is one of the best WiFi Modules available in the Market for beginners. It's easy to use and learn the product. It also comes along with the IoT Cloud where you can see and get analytics of different variables and parameters of running MCU.

  • Get Cloud Analytics and values of parameters.
  • For Advanced programs, a bit complicated to programme.
  • Pin Limitations (Photon DevKit).
  • Pricing is high compared to others.
We used in mostly all cases in our company. It is best for beginner users and for getting started for IoT Developers. You can give it to any beginner and they can easily learn in just a few minutes. I can say the best product for the starter projects. Everything is just fab!

  • Sometimes Cloud Analytics fails due to less network.
  • Can't check properly in Cloud Editor it's connected to network or not.
  • It uses more power in WiFi Module.
I have used other IoT Development Modules like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and others. Most of all starter kit doesn't come with WiFi or Cellular built-in. Arduino is a basic module where you have to add WiFi or Cellular manually in it. Raspberry Pi has WiFi but it cannot be used for small or medium use cases, it can be used in advanced and complex systems building and it is costlier.

We needed an application to control the resources of our department since it was often a problem to know which computer and mobile phone was assigned to each user as we had many users working on common projects. This problem disappeared using this Iot. Right now each user controls their devices at all times and the company renews them according to the useful life of each component. With the result that we have detailed information on what resources are used and what users use them. This is also used through analytics that improve the overall performance of each department.

  • The servers housed in the data center allow us to respond to any problem
  • Through the interface the data is analyzed in a very simple way.
  • Ideal interface for the exploitation of our devices, computers and mobile phones.
  • The interface for iOTs allows us to interact with the system in a few steps.
  • It allows, among other things, the display of information calculated from the data collected from different iOTs, in an understandable way.
  • Data leakage outside our company.
  • Storage is done in the cloud.
  • Wifi, microwave, remote controlled objects ... can interrupt iOT operation.
Particle is suitable for any company that needs to configure multiple devices and have better control over them.
The benefits are many, from computer integration, integration with DBA, also integrable with RPA.
