Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Produce and sign technical reports. It is a feature-rich product without a cluttered user interface that allows me to read/review/sign documents without any distractions. It is a wonderful product at a good price.

Pros

  • Digital signatures
  • Page organization
  • Stamps
  • Review and comments

Cons

  • More themes

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for document review thanks to the simple interface, but feature-rich when you need to do other work, like sanitize and sign documents. Adobe Acrobat or PDF XChange would likely be better for power users that need all the tools available at any given time.

My PDF Studio Review

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use PDF Studio to generate engineering documents that I do in the laboratory.

I can append schematics to the document as well as make changes to it. I also use it for text recognition of old engineering books which we digitize.

Pros

  • Text recognition.
  • Edit/fill PDF forms.

Cons

  • I would like to be able to generate indexes of the documents that I am adding to a file.
  • To be able to scan a file and convert it from a PDF simply having the scan parameters.

Likelihood to Recommend

For Linux users it is without a doubt the best option and the most developed so far.

PDF Studio is just what was needed to edit and organize my PDFs!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using PDF Studio when I need to delete pages in a PDF or add comments is so simple with PDF Studio. I appreciate how everything is included at a one-time cost, which eliminates the need to buy other software or add-ons to achieve the desired output and be able to be open by others using many different types of PDF software.

Pros

  • Editing PDF pages easily.
  • Organizing PDF pages quickly.
  • Adding comments to particular items within a PDF.

Cons

  • Boot Time is inconsistent (very rare).
  • Different color schemes.
  • Keyboard shortcut adjustments in preferences.

PDF Studio is great for slimming down documents when a customer sends a large PDF (RFQ). Often time when performing a task at my job customers will send a request for quotes and the document sent will not be sorted and will just have all of the information they have been given by their customer with no particular order. Being able to easily search PDFs for certain words helps in speeding up my response time to the customer.
