  • Reporting
  • Dashboard/KPIs

Cons

  • Financial Reporting

  • Workflows

Likelihood to Recommend

Pigment seems to be well suited for large organizations but also small nimble orgs that need to scale because it has a very robust planning and reporting engine but is not overly IT dependent.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

One of the best financial and resources planning tools I have used in a decade in the industry now, we have around 25 projects across India locations, which is used for project finance planning. We have dashboard for all projects which is making it super easy to see financial data and plan for upcoming quarters, This is also helping us in the resources planing I have around four projects under my watch and using pigment is helping while planing my resources allocations.

Pros

  • Dashboard.
  • Resources planning.

Cons

  • Need to work on product stability, it stops working sometimes and crashes in between.
  • Scripting makes initial learning curve quite difficult.

Likelihood to Recommend

Planning, financials, and even sales tracking are greatly helpful for project planning. This makes product planning easy; you can simply see what the industry is demanding and what should be produced more in coming quarters. If you have really huge data, then this sometimes crashes.

Powerful tool for analysis and reporting

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Pigment had very many benefits that assisted us in the completion of many of our routine reporting and controlling tasks. First, as the source for the reporting numbers, we deploy integration into other tools. In Pigment, it would have been easy to schedule updates on the reports eliminating the challenges of having to do the updates manually while populating 100% matching values. One more advantage is the access rights on the sheet: it is very sensitive and offers the functionality that basic Google Sheets do not possess. Also, the generation of various versions of the same report aids in satisfying the various demands from the stakeholders. Before proceeding, it is also necessary to describe how support in Pigment works. They are very responsive and we get quick responses to our questions and often attempts are made to fix problems quickly.

Pros

  • Helping organizations assess the impacts of various business decisions effectively
  • Seamlessly integrates with multiple data sources
  • Collaboration with other teams and teammates

Cons

  • Learning path is difficult, new users will need more time to learn about the plaform
  • Lacks pre-built templates like other tools
  • More advanced reporting features could be helpful

Likelihood to Recommend

I use Pigment for reporting, bugdeting, forecasting…

It gives us more agility to analyse and refresh our boards

Pros

  • It is fast refreshing information
  • Nice charts and boards
  • Good to track the information from scratch

Cons

  • More charts and format options
  • Easy to know why a formula is failing

Likelihood to Recommend

For reporting purposes is so nice, easy to track budget vs. Actuals or any other “versions” (forecast and other scenarios). Also nice for budgeting.

Great flexibility and a modern tool!

workforce planning

reporting

Pros

  • Flexible
  • UX design
  • Modelling power (variety of formulas)

Cons

  • Data ingestion (being quicker at loading lists when they are heavy, ability to manipulate data more easily before the data is pulled)

Likelihood to Recommend

Very flexible tool able to handle any business case. Takes a while to build out, and the amount of metrics needed to build complex models can be a bit dizzying. Overall a very powerful tool, with the flexibility of an Excel, and the processing power of an Anaplan (at a much lower price point).
