Placepoint
What is Placepoint?
Placepoint is a property data platform for Norway and Sweden. The vendor states that most property decisions start with 20 lookups across separate registers, such as the cadastre (the official register of land parcels and boundaries), land register, zoning plans, ownership data, and market data. Placepoint collects, normalizes, and quality-checks those registers and joins them per property, so the answer comes from one lookup. Every answer shows its source and date.
According to the vendor, the data covers 3.5 million cadastral units in Norway and 4.2 million properties in Sweden, with owners, companies, tenants, and municipal cases linked together. The map adds layers for flood, quick clay, noise, energy ratings, and ground conditions.
The data is available in four ways:
- Fusion is the web app with map, property panel, search, analysis, reports, and 3D.
- The Placepoint application programming interface (API) delivers the same data to customers' own systems and models.
- Placepoint AI answers property questions in Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or ChatGPT, using the same sources.
- Placepoint Leads finds companies that are about to move, for landlords and commercial brokers.
Property owners keep their portfolio up to date and get alerts when something changes. Developers read zoning, ground conditions, and ownership before they commit to a site. Brokers find mandates and buyers. Banks and insurers pull property and risk data directly into their credit and risk models.
The company reports more than 950 customers and 6,500 users. It has offices in Oslo and Stockholm.
