Plotly Chart Studio is primarily used by our BI teams to visualize the data in the most effective way. Since all the charts developed within the organization are stored at a single place, one can search and adapt the charts already in the repository rather than always working from the scratch. Also, with the Graphical User Interface, one can simply create charts which can be embedded on websites and dashboards without any support from IT.

Connects to almost every kind of data source like SQL, Excel, MS Access, flat files and more.
Charts get saved to the repository and are re-used by multiple users.
No need of manual intervention in order to refresh the charts every time the data gets changed.

No mobile apps available.
There is no 24x7 web chat support available.
Training videos are not available.

Improvement in productivity as charts can be shared with teams and feedback can be collected, consolidated and incorporated in the design and charts.
Charts are aligned with the organization theme and colors and one doesn't need to put in effort every time to do that.
No upfront capital expenditure and minimum user criteria helps the organization to keep the costs down.

I used plotly chart studio during my role as research assistant. Primarily, my role revolved around processing big data , generating analytics and making visualizations to infer some trends. Being a python developer, I was using plotly's python api which itself is fairly easy to use. However, when I came to know about chart studio, I quickly jumped onto it due to no code feature and beautiful gui to do everything related to visualizations.
