Podbean is a simple podcast hosting provider. I use it for video format podcasts on Apple and distribute the audio-only version to the other podcast platforms. So far, I have experienced no downtime and fast uploads/downloads.
  • It's easy to navigate and doesn't take long to find what you need.
  • The process for uploading video and audio podcasts is intuitive and hassle-free.
  • Configuration is intuitive and straightforward, which is appreciated.
  • Access to multiple Podcasting streams.
  • In my point of general use, I have not found any fault with the product, so we are very comfortable.
Podbean is a great app that allows users to discover and listen to podcasts. Honestly, it has all the features that the Apple Podcast app has. At least the components that matter to me.
  • You can easily submit to podcast directories like Apple and Google right from the Podbean interface.
  • It is easy to use and easy to use for beginners. I recommend it to everyone, the best software for the price.
  • You can also connect to your social media accounts and get your own podcast landing page.
  • I can say that since we have used this tool we have not found any negative aspects or that it has generated us.

Listening to podcasts about the food industry for trend research. Address problems similar to iTunes Podcasts but with a superior interface. Allows companies to use ads at a more economical rate. Free podcast app, Enables live streaming. Very user-friendly, videos are seamless when streaming. The desktop version is also easy to navigate.
  • Good user interface
  • Good sound quality
  • Nice design
  • Desktop version easy to navigate
  • Needs to advertise better
  • Visual quality
  • Loading times
Great for working and gathering information about the food industry. I use it regularly. I do not use the video function too often as it's not appropriate for my job role however, it's incredibly easy to use and seamless. The picture and sound quality are also very reliable and sharp.
  • Sounds quality second to none
  • Industry leading content
  • Great accessibility
  • Little return on investment for my role.
  • It is easy to use to help me achieve my goals.
  • I enjoy using it.
Podbean is a different software model to this software and I believe it runs better. iTunes is a tough competitor however, PodBean has the advantage as it is not strictly for IOS and has a desktop version that is more seamless. I believe this makes it better software for podcasts and videos.

We use it to upload sermons as a weekly podcast. We also make use of the Podbean WordPress plugin to auto-post each podcast/sermon to our church website. We typically only post one podcast per week, but we do so every single week. Our listener-ship is pretty low, less than 100 listeners per week, but we're consistent.
  • Easy to use
  • Reliable audio hosting
  • Good integration with our WordPress website
  • The UI looks a bit dated
  • The plugin we use for WordPress was broken for years and we had to manually post, but they've fixed it recently.
Works great and is cost-effective for smaller podcasts, like our church sermons. I can't speak to larger, high-listener podcasts, but for our small-scale use case, it is perfect. We primarily use it for hosting, as we auto-post to our website, so we don't direct our listeners to the Podbean website.
  • Cost
  • Reliability
  • Ease of use
  • Great ROI because we don't have to use another service or change our process for posting
  • The only negative impact was on my time when I had to manually post when the WordPress plugin was broken.
  • We have things automated now, so it's a great positive impact
We looked at hosting it entirely ourselves on our website, but the hosting space adds up and Podbean is purpose-built for this purpose. It's reliable and fits our needs much better than hosting via our website. Podbean also fits better into our workflow, since the website administration isn't handled by the same person as the podcast.

We use Podbean to host and publish multiple podcasts. Podbean is a great solution for our podcast hosting because it takes all of the guesswork out of the whole process of uploading and sharing our podcasts. It has tools to quickly submit podcasts to many services like iTunes and Google Play. It also has a player that can be embedded directly into web pages. It also has helpful analytics so I can see how many people are listening to each podcast episode.
  • Easy upload and management of podcast episodes.
  • Easy process of submitting shows to podcast apps and services.
  • Player to embed into web pages.
  • Useful analytics information.
  • Easy to host multiple shows.
  • Better analytics data. I would like to know what players people are using most.
  • More obvious limitations of number of podcasts allowed in each pricing tier. Saying Business has unlimited number of podcasts is misleading if that is for unlimited private podcasts and only 2 public.
Podbean is the best podcast hosting service I have seen so far outside of hosting your own podcast server. It has many tools built in that make hosting and sharing your podcast simple. If you are technically minded, there is good software based on WordPress to create a cheap solution for hosting multiple podcasts, but you don't get as many features and you have to do all the work yourself. If you want a solution to quickly and easily get a podcast off the ground and out into the world without having to worry about lots of technical issues, then Podbean is a good way to go.
  • Ease of uploading new podcast episodes.
  • Useful analytics information.
  • Ease of submitting podcasts to apps and services.
  • New apps and services being added.
  • No need to worry about technical issues of hosting.
  • I have saved time not having to manage a podcast server.
  • I have been able to show the rest of the organization how popular our podcasts are via analytics.
  • It is good to put our podcasts out to as many apps and services as possible as easily as possible.
For a personal podcast, I host on WordPress with a plugin called Seriously Simple Podcasting. This solution is a bare bones solution, good if you know how to manage a WordPress website and are able to submit your podcasts manually to different apps and services. If you can afford Podbean I would suggest using it because the WordPress route takes a lot more time and technical knowledge. Podbean takes so much of the hassle and work away from the process.
