We've used Procreate previously for artwork-ing and concept-ing client work. Whilst vector tools like Illustrator are great for some illustration styles and formats, Procreate allows us to work with greater flexibility and variation in style. We also use it for quick sketches and workshopping ideas, especially since they can be emailed and transferred quickly.
Pros

Pen Pressure adaptation.
Flexibility of style.
Layering
Cons
Masking and more complex applications and alterations.

We are using Procreate less and less as Adobe tools catch up with more iPad applications and sketching styles, but Procreate is still superior in flexibility and online tutorials. We are using other, more formal tools more, just because the changing nature of work is less illustrative.
Used to develop compelling visual elements and stories to help facilitate improved engagement with various stakeholders, foster more expansive thinking, and communicate complex ideas.
Pros
User friendly, intuitive interface that makes it easy to pick up and create.
Diverse features that allow you to explore different forms of expression - no shortage of ways to be creative.
Cons
It would be nice to make it easier to turn drawing processes into animations.
Likelihood to Recommend
Excellent for digital art of all kinds. Have used in professional settings for developing communications products, visual scribing, animated videos, etc. Occasionally used for brainstorming and notes. Seems less appropriate for collaboration, text-based work, etc.

We have been using Procreate for graphic design work and digital art for both clients and internal projects for several years now as a raster based program.
Pros
Great brush library and third party brush market
Great for hand lettering
Cons
Better pixel rendering when resizing graphics and images already drawn

The program is easy to use and learn and has an extensive brush library included while also giving you the ability to create your own or import purchased brushes.
I'm obsessed with everything Procreate has to offer. I use it on the daily to assist the Illustrators and Graphic Designers in my team. It allows me to create incredibly detailed mockups when words fail to encompass the necessary visual direction. Digital advertising is a fast-paced job where creatives and designers have to meet multiple clients' deadlines with outstanding visuals. Procreate helps me cut down on time needed to give visual direction by allowing me to design mockups myself. What's more, I learned how to illustrate with the app and am now transitioning to a hybrid creative + design role. That wouldn't have happened unless I had an easy-to-use interface like the one Procreate offers!
Procreate also offers a wide variety of in-built brushes that I use to create my personal illustrations, digital collage art, and more. I'm growing as an artist and am able to bridge the gap between myself and the designers on my team as well.
Pros
Easy-To-Understand Interface
Wide Range of Brushes
Custom Asset Sizes
Animation Options
Intuitive Design
Cons
More animation support
Vector Illustrations
Cross Platform Functionality

Procreate is well-suited for any illustrator, whether they're a beginner or an expert. It offers a vast range of features that will allow anyone with an artistic inclination to start creating right away. It's also appropriate for budding designers, artists, and animators. While the animation options offered aren't super premium, it is a good place to start learning about animating in layers, e.g., in Photoshop.
Procreate isn't suitable for people who want to illustrate vector-based images. The app currently only supports raster images that can't be scaled up.
