What is QA Sphere?

QA Sphere is a cloud-based Test Management system for planning, organizing, executing, and reporting on manual and exploratory software tests. The platform centralizes test cases, test runs, results, requirements, and linked defects.

Key Capabilities
  • Test case management: Teams can organize test cases by folder, tag, priority, and project. Parameterized cases support multiple data variations without duplicating the test steps. Test suites can be imported and exported as comma-separated value (CSV) files.
  • Test planning and execution: The test-run builder uses queries to assemble release-specific runs. Teams can use live-updating runs, fixed folder structures, locked test-case versions, and milestones. The execution interface supports keyboard controls, result selection, notes, and attachments.
  • AI-assisted test drafting: QA Sphere can draft test cases from requirements or screenshots, including expected, edge-case, and negative scenarios. Configurable AI Rules apply team naming, tone, and formatting conventions to drafts. The platform can also draft defect reports from test-run context for reviewer approval.
  • Defect reporting and integrations: Bug Tracking functions allow teams to create defects from test runs and pass test steps, expected and actual results, environment information, and attachments to connected issue trackers. Integrations include Jira, GitHub, Linear, GitLab, Asana, ClickUp, Trello, Monday.com, Azure DevOps, and Notion.
  • Reporting and traceability: Dashboards report on test coverage, execution progress, team effort, and requirement-to-defect relationships.

Audience & Use Cases
  • Audience: Quality-assurance engineers, software testers, test leads, developers, and engineering managers.
  • Use Case: QA Sphere supports software teams that need a structured test-case library, repeatable release testing, documented execution results, and traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.

Technical Specifications
  • Access and deployment: Cloud-based service with role-based access controls, Google single sign-on, two-factor authentication, and Business-plan support for Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) single sign-on and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) provisioning.
  • Automation support: REST APIs and integrations support connections to automated-testing and development workflows.
  • Plans: The free plan supports up to three users. Standard is listed at $12 per user per month and includes unlimited projects and viewer accounts. Business is listed at $24 per user per month; Enterprise terms are customized. A 30-day trial does not require a credit card.
