What is Revive?

Revive is an automated migration solution that converts legacy Domino applications to a cloud and mobile-ready modern enterprise web application. The Revive migration utilities handle the conversion of all application components, including the interface, data, code, users, and security.

Custom complex Notes Domino applications with extensive business and application logic can be a difficult challenge when migrating from the Notes Domino platform. SharePoint or low code/no code platforms may work for smaller, less intricate applications, but they cannot adopt complex demanding code for large scale enterprise Domino applications. When migrations to these platforms fail, organizations turn to Revive to fully migrate their complex Domino applications.

Furthermore, Revive automates the conversion of Domino applications to a cloud and mobile-ready modern enterprise web application. The proprietary migration utilities handle the conversion of all application components, including the interface, data, code, user information, and security.

User Interface: The existing interface, including views and forms, is refashioned with modern features and functions, including column selection, filtering, bidirectional sorting, and full-text search.
Application Code: Domino Application Logic is migrated inline to the new web application for a streamlined conversion to Java.
Data Migration: Domino data is migrated to any SQL database version without the need for analysis, mapping, or cleansing.
Security: The original application user information, including the access security settings, is migrated and easy to manage in the new application.

The vendor states that while Revive expedites the migration process by automating the conversion of all application components, it also eliminates the need for a costly, time-consuming, and disruptive requirements phase by leveraging the original Domino application as the blueprint for the new application. It aims to ensure a seamless rollout to end users who will require next to no training on the new application.
