Rx30 is a pharmacy management system that has been used for years and is appreciated by many pharmacies. Users have found the dispensing functions to be easy to use, and the system efficient in handling day-to-day processing needs. The software is capable of doing all functions that more expensive software systems can do at a better price, making it an economical solution to handle virtually every aspect of retail pharmacy business, including managing regulations.
One of its key features is the coordination of benefits, allowing primary and secondary insurance processing, including coupon cards from drug manufacturers. Additionally, the system can combine dispensing functions with patient care, such as Medication Therapy Management (MTM), meeting all Medicaid's MTM requirements. Users can document patient care as part of the dispensing system as well. However, at times users wish the standard reports were more flexible.
While users have commended HBS's straight-forward and user-friendly software interface, some have found the software challenging to learn due to numerous commands and buttons resulting in mistakes while inputting information. Furthermore, users have faced system glitches which were quickly rectified by customer service but created daily stress. Additionally, some have experienced poor support from help desk representatives who assume that issues are due to insufficient training or user error. Despite these challenges, users still recommend HBS to other pharmacies looking for a comprehensive system that is easy to use and economizes their business operations.
User-friendly interface: Users found the software very user-friendly and easy to navigate, particularly when it came to printing reports, entering prescriptions, and maintaining stock. Many reviewers appreciated its integration with other systems and customization options too.
Fast prescription processing: Several reviewers praised the software for its fast prescription processing and insurance billing, which made their workflow smoother than before. The capability of supporting almost every pharmacy management function desired was also a plus point for them.
Feature-rich system: Reviewers liked that the software had a surprising amount of features that allowed for a smooth workflow and detailed functionality. Its constant updates helped users stay up-to-date in the industry as well. Additionally, some users were impressed by HBS's interfaces available for a variety of robotic and workflow systems.
Poor Customer Support: Reviewers have expressed their disappointment with the poor customer support provided by Rx30. Many users reported that they had to wait for hours to get in touch with customer service and technical support was almost non-existent. Some users also mentioned that it takes a week or more to receive a call back from customer service after submitting a ticket.
Issues with POS System: Several reviewers reported issues with the Rx30 POS system which caused significant customer dissatisfaction due to inability to process credit or debit cards. They said that the POS system frequently froze, especially when on a server, which resulted in bigger problems during changes made to the system.
Rigid Workflow: Users expressed frustration with the rigid workflow of Rx30's system. The workflow only goes one way from Input to Packaging and Rx Review; there is no two-way communication between the Rx and POS systems either. Additionally, some users found commands such as editing an Rx or reversing an edit were scattered all over the screen making them difficult to find quickly while working under time constraints.
