Our organization started investigating heavily on digital transformation, both for competitive reasons and to improve operational efficiencies. We lacked the modern application infrastructure needed to start planning for using AI, ML, or blockchain. Our infrastructure was simply not capable of 2x spike in workload. Some applications were redundant, while others were not fit for purpose. So address the problems listed above, we took upon the modernization exercise.

We implemented SAP S/4 HANA recently in our organization, 3 months back. We are using different modules across our organization. The core features are covered in it. The key challenges overcome by SAP are real-time data management and data accuracy, enhanced functionality, the ability to visualize data, and UX with the Fiori apps has been phenomenal. Again this is just the beginning, I am pretty sure once we continue to build and load data in our S/4 HANA, the benefits will be multifold.

I use SAP on IBM Cloud primarily to enhance and extend the principal SAP capabilities and experience with cloud support and value-added features from IBM. The key business problems that SAP on IBM Cloud helped me solve were how to make essential business applications more secure, faster, and integrated so that they are future-proof and facilitate further digital transformation.

The main reason for its use has to do with managing the scalability of applications on our servers. It means that we create, edit, and test our applications within the cloud servers. On the other hand, we use it both to test and evaluate the efficiency of the code, as well as to evaluate costs and estimate budgets. We have also created final cloud solutions from IBM for third parties, it really helps save time and money.
