Use Cases and Deployment Scope

When we are using mass approval of purchase requesations through ME29n the t.code is going tobe deprecated in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Most of the organization are being used for the mass PR approval

Even though SAP has recommended for fiori app but the t.code is very much useful for all buyers to approve fast

Pros

We faced some issues recently that only one authentication role is available for161 fiori apps for one Br role ...this make lot of difficult to provide and assign the roles

Bd64 still it is not user friendly

The integration to other systems and itis seamless to integrate with AI and other systems, and the fiori enablement is also user friendly, reporting and other reporting tools integration , and migrating to BTP and RISE is also seamless we can enable.,fiori apps very easily and once the RISE upgrade no need for TR upgrade for every year

We use SAP S/4HANA Cloud private cloud and its working good, since we have many other systems being integrated with SAP S/4HANA Cloud we have selected private cloud instead of public cloud.

Pros

Less cost in Maintenance
SAP takes cares of Technical upgrade
All the data will be in the cloud

Cons

Public cloud have limitation to have our own business process
Adding functionality and features in public cloud is limited
Complex business process is not avilable

But with so many non sap system maintaining all the data at one place is missing

Using for Finance operations especially in smaller business entities (Baltics) where no manufacturing is involved. S/4HANA Cloud provides faster migration from Legacy systems, with seamless integration of master data from central SAP systems, thus enhancing Finance processes' accuracy and operations(Receivables / payables management).

Provision to extract data for validation/auditing purpose through customer data browser app

App search toolbar can be improved for better suggestions

At BOSCH, transitioning to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a key part of our roadmap, which we initiated in 2022. We’ve integrated SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud into our portfolio offerings for our Group Businesses (GBs) as an addition to our existing landscape. Additionally, we are currently evaluating RISE with SAP for our on-prem S/4HANA systems. We recognize the significant value in moving to the cloud, both in terms of staying relevant in the market and achieving cost benefits within our landscape. With the upcoming launch of Joule and the Business Data Cloud offering, we see substantial opportunities to leverage the data across our heterogeneous landscape, maximizing its potential for business growth and innovation.

From my experience, SAP S/4HANA Cloud is particularly well suited for organizations seeking rapid deployment, standardized global processes, and strong governance. For example, multi-country rollouts in shared services or greenfield transformations benefit greatly from predefined best practices and continuous innovation. It’s also ideal when scalability and predictable TCO are priorities.

However, it becomes less appropriate in scenarios demanding highly complex custom developments, heavy legacy integrations, or deeply industry-specific processes that deviate significantly from standard SAP capabilities. In such cases, on-premise or private cloud options provide the necessary flexibility and control.
