S1 Singularity is an extremely effective product in protecting assets in your infrastructure from attack. It gives your IT and/or security teams advanced capabilities. One is the ability to isolate one or more endpoints. This means that endpoint only can communicate with the S1 console and nothing else. Additionally, your teams have the visibility they need to understand what’s going on. I often hear people say, “But it will slow down my machines.” This is only true if you are not properly using the product and making exceptions where they need to made. I have also seen people go the opposite way and make way too many and too broad exceptions which increases the risk and defeats the purpose of the solution. The key is to ensure you understand for S1 or any similar product, that you must have people educated on how to use it. They must monitor it. This and other similar products are not set and forget. But, if you do it right (and it’s not hard), you will have a very effective defense against today’s emerging threats.
  • Detect threats
  • Stop threats
  • Provide visibility
  • Investigative capabilities
  • Medical environments are more sensitive to hiccups that can be caused by EDRs. This could be better documented and addressed.
  • The product names can be confusing to some.
It’s an extremely effective product. It runs on multiple platforms. It even has the ability to protect endpoints from IoT devices. It won’t work in environments where there are end-of-life operating systems and hardware.

I do have access and use it, but it is monitored by a 3rd party security provider. It has been very beneficial after a phishing email got through O365. The install agent goes on each of our endpoints and servers. If any threats are severe we will be notified via email/SMS/phone.
  • Installs on all of our Windows machines and only requires 1 reboot for the install to finish.
  • It allows you to customize the UI and filters based on your use case.
  • Gives a very high level of visibility into any concerns you have or should have in your network.
  • Possibly for compatibility with legacy Windows OS's and non Windows OS's.
  • Some settings are greyed out and unable to change but I believe this is to protect you from making a bad configuration change.
  • Could do better with reporting at the base level subscription.
I'm not sure about pricing but I have heard from larger companies that it was not very accessible because of their size. We are a small company and we also utilize a SIEM which helped offset costs right off the bat. I think it makes 100% sense for IT departments that don't have enough staff to monitor their environment in depth.

We use SentinelOne in-house as well at many of our managed clients IT environment.
  • Easy to take device offline remotely in order to isolate infections (remote put back online)
  • Easy to use portal
  • setup and configuration
  • integration into more msp rmm tools
Without it being more integrated into more RMM tools, you have to manage your endpoints in multiple platforms.

SentinelOne is our primary EDR. We utilize SentinelOne across the entire Enterprise. This has given us the ability to track and prevent malware as well as isolate and stop lateral movement of attacks on our systems.
  • SentinelOne provides excellent real-time threat protection.
  • SentinelOne provides superior threat hunting tools and insights.
  • SentinelOne Vigilance offers lean companies 24 hour SOC support.
  • It would be helpful if SentinelOne had better automation for updating client versions.
  • Simplified setup of Ranger Deploy.
  • Client onboarding could be improved.
SentinelOne is a next generation EDR that proivdes a real-time defense to emerging cyber attacks. The ability to quickly identify, isolate and remove threats in the current cyber landscape is priceless. It is well suited for all corporate scenarios.

We recently deployed SentinelOne companywide to give us more granular control of our environment than our previous solution provided. We were using Webroot. While it's a solid product, Webroot did not give the level of control that we wanted for each endpoint. It was policy driven and required more global than finite management for endpoints.
  • It allows granular, targeted control of endpoints.
  • It has a central management console.
  • It allows management of endpoints through policies or groups and/or individual device control.
As an MSP, we were looking for a product to use internally and for our clients that already had a well established industry presence and could give us more flexibility for endpoint management. SentinielOne has met and exceeded our expectation for those criteria. I would recommend it to any MSP or their clients. The industry reputation is well founded based on our experience so far.

SentinelOne is used for Endpoint protection within our organization. It has been very effective at mitigating threats for our stores and end users. It is used company-wide and replaced our old endpoint solution. It is very helpful to our security team to insure that we are able to see and assess threats quickly and efficiently.
  • Lightweight.
  • Cloud-based console.
  • Deep dive search is hit or miss.
  • Using Vigilance (vendor provided MSSP) was frustrating as they did not inform us how they reach solutions.
This is a solid protection product. It keeps the end users safe with little interference during the process. The user experience is pretty transparent. On the admin side it can be more frustrating. We have a 3 month trial of the vendor's Vigilance offering, which was good but very secretive - often solutions were reached that could not be explained to our team. This was annoying as we went off of their service and were not able to replicate their answers. There is also problems with their Deep Visibility offering - when it works, it works well and allows you to track issues, but that is very hit or miss and you can never rely on it to work.

We recently implemented it for all our clients, replacing a signature-based AV with this next-gen AV. It also is deployable through my Solarwinds RMM software, which is great.
  • Neutralizes threats seamlessly.
  • Easy to add exceptions.
  • Minimal impact on the users.
  • The dashboard is a bit clunky to navigate and could stand a redesign.
  • If I could get individual client reports instead of 1 large one it would make my life easier.
It's best suited for Windows 10 devices, as deploying it remotely requires a PowerShell to be at a specific level. Anything older will require manual installation which will affect the user.

SentinelOne is being used globally, US, EMEA, APAC, as the primary end point security solution.
  • SentinelOne provides excellent protection against known and unknown attacks to our endpoints.
  • The recovery option provides a fast, first line of defense against ransomware and other system damaging attacks.
  • SentinelOne requires minimal administrative support making it a very cost effective and efficient solution.
  • We have not found any significant shortcomings at this time.
Due to the low administrative overhead, SentinelOne is a good solution for companies with smaller staffs who may not have dedicated security resources. EDR capabilities are not as extensive as some other products but basic information is available an unless you have sufficient resources to evaluate data, additional data may not be valuable. SentinelOne offers a very good blend of data and automatic remediation and protection.

Our organization uses SentinelOne as its primary endpoint protection tool. We install it on all institution-owed computers, both PC and Mac, and our servers as well. The installation also includes student computer lab PCs. SentinelOne is managed by our IT department and installed from our primary file server via an installation script.

I have now used three different major endpoint protection products at our institution in the last 36 months. SentinelOne is the only one that has been easy to use at an affordable cost, and been effective at protecting all of our endpoints. As a result, I awarded them a 36 month deal.

It is used by all the departments of the company, about a hundred users. It provides us with maximum security on individual endpoints and, above all, through a very well-made console. It gives us the possibility to monitor every customer both within the company and outside the company itself.
  • Coexists peacefully with antivirus already installed
  • It does not create any problem of slowdowns to the machine on which it is installed
  • It effectively does what it is designed for
  • To date, I have not found any weak points in SentinelOne
It is well suited for every situation where safety must be put first. It has been useful in situations where I need to have reliable and non-invasive software that can coexist with other security software.

SentinelOne is used for my entire company as our endpoint protection on our servers and workstations. We have a very mobile staff and needed a product that would provide protection when out in the field or in the office. Since we switched to SentinelOne we have significantly reduced downtime of our computers, staff and IT support staff to resolve issues.
  • Prior to the use of SentinelOne, my staff spent on average 4 hours a week fixing/rebuilding computers that were infected. We now spend less than 30 minutes each week. That is a direct saving of both regular and IT staff time.
  • Simple straight forward portal controls all aspects of SentinelOne with good alerting for my staff if issues arise.
  • Easy touchless testing and deploy of new version to our staff where ever they work.
  • Currently it does everything I expect from an endpoint security product and requires very little time from my staff.
The product works great for our servers and computers that run Windows as the OS. We have had some issues with the few MACs we have. It takes more work to get the client installed and working.
