Use Cases and Deployment Scope
It is our EDR platform, we use it to detect threats and resolve them to relieve stress from our team and allow them to focus on tickets. It also is configured to automatically disconnect network connections when ransomware is detected to prevent the spread of it, which is another time saver
Pros
- It detects threats quickly and notifies promptly.
- The administrative network disconnection is very nice
- It gives good threat insight for each detection and detailed messages about the suspicious parts of what it had detected.
Cons
- Sometimes it will detect an issue but won't resolve it, some clarity on that would be great
- It takes a while for changes to take effect, for example if you unquarantine a file sometimes it takes a bit to go through
- The new interface, which has some additional functionality, was difficult to find the switch for.
Return on Investment
- It has saved a good amount of time for technicians when it comes to defending networks
- it has prevented large malware infestations which saves the customer from downtime and us from disaster recovery
- it provided peace of mind for the team, improving morale.
