ShootCleaner

ShootCleaner is desktop post-shoot workflow software for professional photographers, designed to reduce repetitive work between image import and final delivery while keeping the photographer in control of key decisions. It combines image ingestion, AI-assisted culling, duplicate and near-duplicate detection, focus and expression checks, metadata support, image-quality analysis, enhancement recommendations, case-study preparation, and export/hand-off tools in a single application.

Rather than operating as a black-box culling service, ShootCleaner keeps recommendations visible, reviewable and reversible. Photographers can inspect why an image has been rated, flagged or selected and override those decisions at any stage. The software can also analyse a photographer’s published work to help build a style profile for more relevant recommendations.

ShootCleaner is available for Windows and macOS and runs as locally installed desktop software. Optional AI-assisted analysis can use the photographer’s own OpenAI or Google Gemini API account, giving users control over provider choice and usage costs.

The product is intended for photographers working with large image sets, including portrait, wedding, school, sports, event, commercial and volume photography. It is sold with a perpetual licence option rather than requiring an ongoing software subscription.
