Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use SIMUL8 as a consultancy tool to help to improve Companies processes. I have build more than 200 simulation models with simul8 to companies of various size and areas such as manufacturing, logistics, ports, clinics, agriculture and supply chain.
Pros
  • Easy to build Simulation Models
  • Fast to run
  • Easy to analyse simulation results
Cons
  • 3-D graphics
  • Visual logic Editor
Likelihood to Recommend
Based on my experience using SIMUL8, it is suited for mostly discrete event simulation models in many areas. However for specific material handling simulation, there are some specific solutions.
