Siteglide is our number platform choice due to it's flexibility coupled with speed of deployment The modular nature means we can build (previously bespoke) functionality really rapidly and we've got full styling capability, allowing us to design it right and build it right for our customers, boosting their conversion rates.

  • Order handling
Siteglide is particularly well suited to membership sites, especially those where a recurring payment is required for access. This extends to eLearning functionality where the Web Apps can be used to build some pretty advanced functionality. The only downside at present (although they're working quickly to step it up is the eCommerce (buying, shipping and processing product sales).

  • It allows us to seel complicated sites to customers with lower budgets
  • It's quick to migrate sites to
  • It's cost effective
Siteglide knocks the socks off Duda in terms functionality, it's eCommerce isn't a match for Shopify (yet) but it's got a lot more flexibility and functionality than Shopify which comes up short if businesses want to do more than sell products...and versus WordPress, well, it's just much more professional and doesn't fall on its arse.

Siteglide has been very useful in migrating several websites away from Adobe Business Catalyst as they approach EOL. The migration process has been fairly straightforward, and in many cases, the underlying code has been simplified and made easier to maintain. Since I'm a solo entrepreneur, Siteglide has been a great tool to have available during the migration. I've been able to quickly migrate the sites, and expect to have better responsiveness and uptime as a result of the Siteglide / Platform OS integration.
  • Adobe Business Catalyst Migration
  • Client Support and Responsiveness to questions and issues
  • Product Improvement and Feature Upgrades and Additions
  • Documentation is well maintained and updated frequently
  • Early adopters have access to excellent billing plans
  • Some features are still under development
  • Billing plans occasionally cost more than competition, mainly because of the way Platform OS works
  • "Drag and Drop" website building and maintenance could be improved in order to compete with other site-builders. Less reliance on knowing HTML, CSS, Liquid, Javascript, etc. would be a good direction to go in the future.
As already mentioned, migrating websites from Adobe Business Catalyst, or any other platform is a strength. Using the Siteglide CLI, websites can be migrated as a static site to Siteglide, thus greatly reducing the amount of work necessary for the migration. Also, as long as developers are acquainted with HTML, CSS, Liquid, and Javascript, building sites with Siteglide can be done rapidly using their Siteglide Studio site builder.
One of the additional strengths of Siteglide is Webapps. These can be easily used to provide the display and manipulation of dynamic data. The site can be designed so that users can change information without knowing anything about the underlying code. It allows a form-driven way to update site pages.

  • I was able to migrate sites quickly from Adobe Business Catalyst - saved a lot of time
  • Some sites were migrated in place without client knowledge or involvement - and no business disruption.
  • Initial learning curve caused a couple of "redos".
WordPress was used on one migration of a complex site as a test of the capabilities of both WordPress / Elementor and the WordHerd migration service. It went very well but did take a long time to get what the client wanted, mostly due to the fact that they wanted a complete redesign. The downside of WordPress is plug-in management, which is nearly constant and at one time broke some functionality. Siteglide does not have these issues, as plugins are controlled and tested -- and are functions that are built-in.

I also used Duda to migrate several sites where the client wanted a redesign, but also a site design refresh. This works best with smaller sites, and there are no automated migration tools, such as in Siteglide.
WordPress, Adobe Business Catalyst (Discontinued)
There could be an improvement for "non-programmers" and drag and drop editing. However, Siteglide's target market of website development agencies is well served and a great fit. Sites can be migrated from other platforms quickly and easily. New responsive websites can be developed quickly using Siteglide Studio and then robust functionality can be built out quickly and reliably. There is a wide range of features included in Siteglide and more features and upgrades are being rapidly added. The environment is built on a stable and performance-oriented platform. This allows agencies to provide excellent service on a worldwide basis.
Very responsive and a great system in place to facilitate communication.
Yes
Adobe Business Catalyst announced End of Life for their product. In addition, BC was falling behind its competition in features and support.

The ability to migrate websites from Adobe Business Catalyst and replace (or upgrade) existing functionality.
No real changes. Different tools had strengths and weaknesses, and Siteglide's strengths were well fitted to the sites that I migrated from Adobe BC.
