Skytap's fully-managed cloud platform has proven to be invaluable for users across various industries. By eliminating data center costs, license renewals, periodic upgrades, and maintenance activities, Skytap allows organizations to focus on their core business instead of IT infrastructure. The pay-as-you-go pricing model helps regulate client budget allocations, ensuring cost control and flexibility. Moreover, Skytap's auto-replica environments prevent application failovers and outages, providing users with a reliable and resilient solution.

One of the key benefits of using Skytap is the ability to host evaluation environments, which reduces time and effort for both the team and the customer. This feature allows users to quickly test and validate applications before deployment, ensuring a smooth transition from development to production. Additionally, Skytap's software-defined data center ensures reliability and resilience towards configuration drifts, giving users peace of mind knowing that their environments are secure and stable.

Customers have reported significant improvements in productivity since implementing Skytap. In fact, users have experienced an 85% improvement in IT productivity. This is largely due to the simplicity of Skytap's interface, which allows for easy replication of issues and efficient troubleshooting. Moreover, user-defined templates make it easy to build, configure, and use virtual environments, further streamlining development processes.

Furthermore, Skytap has also resulted in substantial cost savings for organizations. Customers have seen a 60% reduction in operational unit costs over 5 years by leveraging Skytap's cloud platform. This not only contributes to bottom-line savings but also allows companies to allocate resources more effectively.

In addition to productivity gains and cost savings, Skytap has helped establish better working relationships between business and IT departments. By providing a unified platform for collaboration and development, teams can work together seamlessly on multiple versions of a project. This leads to improved communication, efficiency, and ultimately better outcomes for both the company and its customers.

Overall, Skytap offers a flexible and reliable solution for a variety of use cases, from payroll solutions to cloud enablement. With its user-friendly interface, auto-replica environments, and cost-saving benefits, it is no wonder that Skytap has garnered positive feedback from users and continues to be a trusted choice for organizations seeking to optimize their IT infrastructure.

This approach promotes adaptability and ensures that customer requirements are effectively addressed. Additionally, flexibility in handling unforeseen problems during projects is valued by these users as it allows them to react and adapt efficiently.

Limited delegated administration and reporting access: Some users have expressed the need for better delegated administration and reporting capabilities, as currently only the super administrator has access to reports. They believe that work should be based on understanding the why behind the activities. Conflict between project-oriented budgeting and agile development: A few users have pointed out that using project-oriented budgeting processes can sometimes conflict with agile development methods. They feel that the budget process may dictate the level of success and hinder flexibility in adapting to changing requirements. Its interface is very simple and issue replication is simplified as only one user have to set up the environment and it becomes usable afterwards. Already user defined templates are available which help us to build, configure and use virtual environment. It is very useful when team works on multiple versions.

  • Performance issue when complex environments are setup
It is a shared environment from which multiple team can work on multiple versions for development or testing purpose. User jut have to share a link and other can start working on it. This is very useful when multiple team are working on different user simultaneously. It has a very simple interface
