Streamable provides a place to upload, share, and embed video anywhere online. They offer professional video hosting solutions for creators and businesses, as well as tools to manage and edit their video. Streamable can be used for free or by subscribing to professional hosting solutions.
Founded in 2014, Streamable's customers use the service to host their videos, either on Streamable or embedded on their websites.
Streamable features
Streamable users can upload videos, crop and trim videos, embed videos, and share videos with a link. Streamable hosts videos in HD and Ultra 4k. Videos can be organized into labeled folders and collections (i.e., playlists) of videos shared with a link. Included on all plans, Streamable provides a number of helpful video tools: multiple videos can be merged together, a video can be updated without changing the link, and a video clip can be created from a URL.
The vendor states customers often use Streamable as a lower price alternative to Vimeo, YouTube, and Wistia where the features are simpler and easier to use, and there are no ads that distract viewers.
Download videos
Videos can be downloaded on Streamable anytime with the download links on the Streamable dashboard. Streamable doesn't put watermarks or any branding on downloaded videos.
Clip videos from any link
Streamable supports most major social media sites (if they allow clipping) and video hosts. If, for some reason, the clipper doesn't work for a particular link the video can be uploaded directly to Streamable, and customer support is available to help.
Free video hosting
Streamable is free to use for videos under 10 minutes long and under 250MB. A video is hosted for 90 days at no charge - for larger videos and to host videos forever, there are subscriptions available for premium hosting features.
Free to start
Streamable can be used simply by uploading or clipping video. To keep videos for longer than 48 hours, a free account must be created with an email address and password. This will unlock some additional features with a subscription, but the vendor states that millions of customers use Streamable without a subscription.
