Since 2002, Essential Studio® has supported the development of software applications across industries and economic sectors, in both public and private enterprises.

Today, Essential Studio presents a two-part development solution. The first is a collection of more than 1,700 UI components for developers who need to ship but don’t have the budget to build an entire front end from scratch. Regardless of the target platform—mobile, web, or desktop—Essential Studio provides data visualizations, interactive editors, customizable inputs, and a variety of buttons, navigation controls, and layouts. Equipped with these, developers can focus their time and effort on implementing the complex business logic behind their apps instead of constructing their own components—reinventing the wheel when a comprehensive development platform is readily available in Essential Studio.

For web developers, the Essential Studio UI component suite provides dozens of components for Blazor, React, Angular, JavaScript, Vue, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Flutter. Developers targeting mobile devices can choose from 100+ controls for .NET MAUI, JavaScript, and UWP, as well as nearly 50 Flutter widgets. Desktop developers can choose from hundreds of controls for Windows Forms, WPF, .NET MAUI, and UWP, plus dozens of controls for WinUI and Flutter.

The second part of Essential Studio is a line of SDKs, editors, viewers, and converters for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF file formats that have no external dependencies. Working with its APIs, developers can create, edit, write, and convert these popular file formats in their web, mobile, and desktop apps without relying on Microsoft Office or Adobe, thereby avoiding these products' licensing fees.

The APIs give developers access to every document element—text, formatting, shapes, tables, images, form fields, and data validation—and a variety of converters to make data presentation, extraction, and transmission easy to implement. For most of the included libraries, it takes just five lines of code to unlock their functionality.

Support is provided by the very people who build and maintain the controls, granting all Essential Studio users direct contact with the people who know the components and frameworks best.
