What is TDengine?
TDengine™ is an open-source, cloud-native time-series database (TSDB) optimized for Internet of Things (IoT), Connected Cars, and Industrial IoT. It enables the real-time ingestion, processing, and monitoring of petabytes of data per day, generated by billions of sensors and data collectors.
The major benefits of TDengine are as follows:
High performance: TDengine does not suffer from performance degradation with high-cardinality data sets.
Simplified solution: Caching, stream processing, and data subscription are built in to TDengine so that users are not required to deploy separate products for these essential features.
Cloud-native design: TDengine features a natively distributed design in which storage and compute are separated. It can be deployed on public, private, or hybrid clouds as well as Kubernetes.
All features are available as on-premises software or as a fully managed service called TDengine Cloud.
