Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am a keynote speaker and consultant to organizations. I send personalized prospecting packs and proposals to new clients. Making short video content is a key aspect of business development in my world. It saves so much time compared with writing something that may not even be read. Plus it gives the client a feel for who I really am: my style, how I speak, my accent, my energy, etc. Personalized videos go out to prospects daily, and I find I have a really strong conversion rate when I use them. Capture has been a great tool for creating these with regularity: it’s quick, simple, and always well received.

Pros

  • Short videos.
  • Screen recording.
  • Easy to edit.

Cons

  • I’m used to it so can’t say I experience a huge amount of issues…
  • I’d always welcome small workflow improvements that might reduce clicks and essentially make it faster to move from recording to sharing - I really value speed in my workday.
  • Being able to organize recordings better and having a few more productivity shortcuts might be beneficial; I notice this on days with heavier content creation.

Return on Investment

  • A core part of the sales/conversion process.
  • Integrated with other well priced tools.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and that’s very true when it comes to demonstrating something clearly to others. It can be more difficult to explain something clearly with words alone. I find TechSmith Capture invaluable for these situations. Being able to demonstrate something, including annotations when needed, gets the point across quickly and effectively. It is very effective for use in training documents and for responding to tech support questions.

Pros

  • Allows for annotation of graphics/images with a built-in library
  • Allows for basic editing, like resizing
  • Allows for sharing with a variety of programs and apps

Cons

  • It can be a little troublesome to find older captures, but they do spit things up by year, application, and tags

Return on Investment

  • Saves time responding to support issues
  • Saves time by capturing steps that can be shared
