What is Tiger Spaces?
A project and user management solution for media and entertainment. Work can be organized by client, project, season, or episode, and into editing, graphics, effects, color, audio, mastering, or encoding groups using any number of workspaces, each one available as a separate local desktop drive. Elastic project sizing can be allowed, or workspace quotas and automated recurring work with workspace templates which enable users to re-use folder structure, data or permissions from previous projects.
Tiger Spaces carves out separate workspaces in shared storage and users see each one as a local attached drive, which prevents inefficient scanning of workspaces and ensures best performance. Optional Avid bin locking improves collaboration by allowing users to work on the same project simultaneously. Creative teams can use all application-based collaboration tools with Adobe Productions, and Final Cut Pro.
Additionally, Spaces|MAM is part of the Tiger Spaces software suite and provides an advanced tool to handle ingest, metadata, logging, search, viewing, editing and transcoding of media assets from a Tiger Spaces managed virtual workspace. Spaces|MAM is an open architecture to meet the needs of broadcasters and video content producers. The core idea behind Spaces|MAM is to allow content producers to spend less time on locating material or managing their users and storage and focus on production.
