Stands out of other notetakers. Has some room for improvement but still worth using
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Within the company we have internal and external meetings. We have a need to record those meetings and either share the video within the company or have a transcript created to share the meeting notes in a concise manner so action points are created via ChatGPT. We don't have any automations running. Everything is pretty easy with manual processes.
Pros
- Quality of the transcript
- Quality of video
- Ability to add external recording to the recording storage
Cons
- We face some challenges sometimes when tldv doesn't join the meeting properly. It blocks us and we have to rum some other notetaker we have. This usually happens when some person has the setting to have tldv always joining the meeting that the person is invited to. In this case, there's a conflict between the notetakers and we have to resolve them.
Likelihood to Recommend
While the use case of using tl;dv is pretty obvious, our case is to keep necessary meetings stored in one place. What I like about tl;dv is the quality of their transcript. There's a rare case when the transcript is not accurate. We have several paid licenses and they give much more opportunities to follow what was discussed during the meeting. We don't use any automations so I just copy the transcript and manually put it in my ChatGPT for notes. We also face some challenges sometimes when tl;dv doesn't join the meeting properly. It blocks us and we have to run some other notetaker we have. This usually happens when someone has the setting to have tl;dv always joining the meeting that the person is invited to. In this case, there's a conflict between the notetakers and we have to resolve them. Despite that, our company still enjoys using tl;dv due to the quality of the transcript and also due to the ability to add an external recording manually to the recording storage.
