Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

We moved from a Keri Door Access system to Verkada - gradually - over the course of the last three years. Our old system needed an on-site desktop or VM running Doors.Net software to be able to control all needed settings for our organization. Verkada removed that need, as they are exclusively cloud-based. Their door controllers are also MUCH easier to work with, in the event a cassette or controller dies, their cable management system within the housing allows for these cables to be removed without needing to cut them! THankfully, we have only had to do this once, but Verkada stands behind their products with a 10-year hardware warranty. So an RMA was sent out via next-day shipping. No hassles!
  • Ease Of Access across several defined users
  • Adding cameras to individual doors for viewing needs
  • Cable Management within door access controllers (AC41 and AC42)
  • RMA process is incredibly fast in the event of a hardware failure
  • Verkada support is available 24/7, and are incredibly knowledgeable on most product issues
  • The AC41 Controller cassettes failed a few times for us, thankfully the AC42 (newer version) has removed cassettes entirely from the controller
  • Some access rights issues have occurred for us over the years, and oftentimes engineers had to get involved to set them properly (even me as an ORG Admin have had permissions removed through no fault of our own, in the past)
  • We have had some users have their card access credentials removed from their profiles randomly over the years. Not sure why that has happened, but they can be added back and then things work fine again.
I think Verkada is incredibly scalable, and could be used in a small business as well as a large business. They have 4-door controllers and 16-door controllers, and the licensing depends on how many doors you wish to utilize - so even if you have only two doors - you're not overpaying for a four-door controller, while still having the ability to expand in the future if need-be. We have rolled out their cameras and door access control across our entire district, and we love it!
  • Cloud-Based
  • Ability to assign numerous different users different defined roles within Verkada
  • Ease of hardware replacement/RMA usage when needed
  • Ability to integrate with several different types of door cards
  • Scalable, and the company is constantly adding new features all the time
  • I spend FAR LESS time as an IT Professional having to manually reboot physical door controllers or Doors.Net services to allow things to function as they should normally. Much more reliable
  • Very easy to run reports on user access times if needed from upper administration
  • Ability to provide certain dates/times of allowed access for contractors or vendors that are not full-time employees.
Keri Door Access Control (Doors.Net Services).

It's like going from DSL to Fiber internet. We have so many more features available to us now, and we are able to divide up roles amongst administrators/front desk positions/security personnel so that the IT team doesn't have so many overhead requests to change time schedules, or pull footage when needed. I'm not a fan of recurring licensing contracts, but it seems that's the way the entire industry is going, so there's no way to escape that. Verkada's customer support is fantastic - as they have live chat, phone support and email support available 24/7. Very happy with their total product suite, and will continue using them moving forward. We have deployed door access, cameras, vape/smoke/environmental sensors, Guest visit services and doorbell/intercom systems. All is great, and integrates well within all of our buildings.

Today we are securing 79 doors with Verkada Access Control through out all of offices across the US. The previous Access Control solution we had didnt allow for Active Directory intergration so each account had to be manually created and deleted. With Verkada Access Control all accounts for Verkada are created with the create access to doors once the Active Directory account is created.
  • Ease of Management
  • multiple options for badges and bluetooth
  • Intergration with Active Directory
  • The cloud interface is good but I feel the search features could be improved
  • Importing Pictures from SCIM
  • Opening the API up for more options
Verkada Access Control is very easy to implement. We had 95 percent of our setup complete within two weeks and we were waiting for the install to start and be completed. There isn't a scenario where it isnt appropriate. The product is so easy implement and use.
  • Active Directory based support
  • Bluetooth and remote unlock capability
  • The ease of management and setup of doors.
  • The ability to disable a terminated employees badge quickly
  • The ability to set an employee a person of interest if needed
  • The ability to setup lockdown procedures
We looked at several different Access Control solutions and none of them offered all of the features that we are currently getting from Verkada Access Control.
