Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We manage a secure electronics reuse and recycling company in the ITAD industry. We have NAID and R2 certifications and we use Verkada digital camera system to maintain security during operations as well as after hours. The camera quality is phenomenal and they customer support team has been very helpful when we have had camera issues. We are very happy with their product.
Pros
- The can track an individual throughout the facility
- We can search vehicle types to narrow a search in necessary
- We have remote access through our phones through the app.
- You can archive incidents or events for records
Cons
- We feel like the cameras you have started using should also be upgraded or switched out with newer model as they come out. Our cameras are a little older and it’s very expensive to replace them all.
- Facial recognition could be more accessible with older cameras
- A cleaner way to display all cameras on 1 screen
Return on Investment
- During audits we can easily provide detailed informations about incidents or security breaches.
- When cameras fail, they have sent us upgraded cameras to replace, but they don’t hold the full 90 day retention our certifications require. Therefore we cannot use the at entrance and exit points.
