What is Veza?

Veza is the data security platform built on the power of authorization.

Veza works across hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments to help secure and use data more effectively. The data authorization platform makes it easy to dynamically visualize, understand, and control who can and should take what action on what data. Veza organizes metadata across identity providers, data systems, cloud IAM, applications - all to address key customer pain of access governance, cloud entitlements reviews, privileged access management, data lake security.

The platform provides visibility and control into who has access to what. Veza’s agentless solution integrates with key enterprise resources and translates highly complex system-specific authorization structures (rows, groups, policies, permissions) into a common language of effective permissions to address data security use cases. Veza gives insights into least privilege, cloud entitlements, cloud misconfigurations, data access governance. Veza manages authorization for custom resources with an Open Authorization API.

Other capabilities include:
-Heatmaps: a visual representation of access permissions, giving security teams insight into the attack surface for any resource.
-Entity Catalog : a catalog of all discovered resources (apps, data systems, accounts) and associated attributes.
-Tags enabling security and data teams to add key-value pair attributes to any discovered entity. Using Tags, teams can assign, clarify search for sensitive resources and associate those to identities and service accounts.
