Overall Satisfaction with Alfresco

Alfresco was used as document management system for one of our clients alone with search and Alfresco Share. It was used for one department. It was hard to resource for the products and we didn't have an inbuilt search mechanism.
  • Easy to develop Workflows
  • Simple and controlled Web Content Management for HTML based websites
  • Good in Document Management System
  • Web Content Management should be matured
  • Internal Search
  • Workflow customization with external applications
  • With Community Edition, it is cost effective.
  • On a long run with Enterprise support, it seems to be costlier.
  • Need more matured Web2.0 features.
It will be suitable for area where there are low volume process needs in order to be cost effective.
