Overall Satisfaction with AlienVault USM

It is used across the whole organization. It is used for IDS and as a SIEM solution.

We really did not look at any other products, and most products do not have all the features that the USM does, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and IDS. It was the best fit for us being a small company on a tight budget.
It is great as an IDS to monitor the network activity. It is also good as a log monitor and SIEM. I am able to watch all my devices and servers and alert me if there are any issues or strange traffic. I wish there were more examples of scripts you can run to actually block traffic automatically if a rule is met. It also does a good job at vulnerability scanning but the reports are a little hard to read at times.
