Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

Initially we were looking to deploy Anaplan to replace Cognos for volume and financial forecasting, within one division of the organisation. It simplified the process for monthly reforecasting and is simple to manipulate and analyse the information. Having seen the power of the application, other parts of the organisation then engaged with Anaplan for their own business needs!

Pros

  • Automated forecasting.
  • Flexibility of the application to add or move components.
  • Ease of access to the cloud-based solution.

Cons

  • Dashboard and charting could be a little more polished.
  • Excel addon could be a little more flexible.
Anaplan was simpler to use and more flexible.
Suited to automated forecasting from current trends. Less suitable for polished Exec reporting.
