Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

We use Anaplan for internal Financial planning as well as Project and Resource planning extensively. The entire project cycle is tracked through Anaplan in terms of Duration, Revenue, Cost and T&E expenses. We also have project tracking in terms of status, achievements and risks involved by each project and use case by each week. This gives a visibility to top management about project health and actionable insights at a high level.

As a user it is a very simple tool, but at the same time with a very mature and powerful calculation engine. It is very easy to switch from excel or traditional tools with added capabilities of multi dimensionality and real time calculation engine to see quick insights needed to create plans and scenarios

Anaplan is best suited for strategic planning initiatives in industries like CPG, Manufacturing, FS, Pharma. It can handle multiple use cases for each function in the company like Supply chain, Finance, Sales and more. It is one of the best tools I have seen in scenario modelling. It is not suitable for very detailed level planning, essentially execution level eg. Production scheduling.
